COVID-19 presents unprecedented and extraordinary challenges for everyone.

Mount Gambier Central is responding in many ways as the safety and wellbeing of our customers, retailers, team and the community is always our top priority.

As the situation is evolving, we’re monitoring and acting on the latest recommendations from Federal and State Governments to adapt our business.

When visiting Mount Gambier Central you are required to wear a mask and we ask that you practice excellent hygiene and physical distancing and that you check in at each individual store that you visit or pass through and you are also required to check in when purchasing food to eat in our food court or take away.

Please use sanitiser that is located around the centre and in the individual stores.

If you are feeling unwell we ask that you stay home to keep our community safe.


It is mandatory for all activities required to have a COVID-Safe plan to display their QR code from Tuesday 1 December, 2020

As we have a COVID-Safe Plan for our Food Court, all dine in customers must Check-In.

When you arrive at the Food Court, you can check in by scanning the QR code displayed at each Food Court retailer or around the Food Court on your mobile phone.

Your information will be collected and stored securely in one place for 28 days, and only released to SA Health for official contact tracing purposes.

COVID Safe Check-In makes record keeping and contact tracing safe and easy.

A paper recording log is also available at each of the Food Court retailers for customers who don’t have a mobile phone.

We expect our employees, contractors, retail partners and customers to follow the advice of health authorities at all times. This includes the requirement for service providers to wear a face covering as directed by the SA Government.

To encourage customers to follow the advice of health authorities we have signage displayed throughout the centre and our centre and security COVID Marshals are on hand to remind customers of current restrictions.   

Cleaning and Hygiene

We apply the highest standard of cleanliness and hygiene at Mount Gambier Central. We have increased the routine cleaning of frequently-touched hard surfaces, including in car parks. We expect our retail partners to apply the same principles to their cleanliness and hygiene.   

If a retail partner becomes aware of any confirmed cases of COVID-19 within their customer facing teams in our centres, they must contact their local Westfield centre management immediately. We would then work with our retail partner and the relevant health authority to support any required public communication and advice on deep cleaning.   

We remind all customers to practice regular hand washing, use hand sanitiser and cover sneezes or coughs with your arm, not your hands. Hand sanitiser stations are located around the centre.   

If you have flu-like symptoms, you should seek your doctor’s advice and stay home.
